Item description
Natural Uranium Rock
URANINITE
Weight: 5.6 oz. Radioactivity: 24,200. CPM (counts-per-minute)
This rock was found at the Jurassic Canyon
uranium field, located near Grants NM. During
the mining era, 1950 to 1989, Grants NM was
described as, "Uranium Capital of USA." Even
a decorative front license plate was sold locally
with this slogan. Even today, this bragging
license plate can be seen at the National
Museum of Nuclear History Science, located
on Eubank Ave., at the east side of
Albuquerque, across from the Costco store.
URANINITE is especially mined in huge
amounts at the Czech Republic, in central
Europe, south of Germany. Germans had the
scientific knowledge and expertise during the
early 1940s to build a nuclear weapon, but
the German leader Adolph Hitler had no
interest in nuclear weapons.
WHITE DOTS ON SURFACE
The two white dots identify the surface areas
with the highest measured radiation level,
Each rock has one or more white dots; this
rock has two white dots, located on opposite
sides of the rock.

USA ADDRESSES
