Item description
Natural Uranium Rock
COFFINITE
Weight: 11.9 OZ Radioactivity: 36,000 CPM
(Counts-per-Minute)
This rock was found at Jurassic Canyon,
near Grants NM, October 2025
COFFINITE rocks are widely found in the
southwestern states, especially at Colorado.
This rock is large and heavy; its chiseled
patterns on the surface would make an
attractive desktop paperweight. I would
recommend enclosing the rock with a thin
coating of clear varnish, which would prevent
any dust from escaping into the desktop
environment. This rock has ONE WHITE DOT
added; the white dot identifies the surface
location with the strongest radiation. Some
rocks have two, or even three white dots. If
the buyer prefers to remove the white dot,
this can be done with the blade of a pocket
knife or even with a sandpaper.
