Item description
Vintage original gift tag related to the production of the motion picture, THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH, released in 1952 by Paramount Pictures and directed by CECIL B. DeMILLE. This is a 5 x 5.75 in. color cardstock tag of a turkey wearing a Santa Claus cap as it bursts forth from a large circus tent on top of the world. We believe that DeMille gave a Christmas turkey to his his crew (and cast?) during the making of this film and this tag accompanied the turkeys. It has a small circular hole punch beneath the center of the top border so it could accompany each individual turkey.
Printed on a light cream cardstock, this vintage original gift tag features a very high quality of printing with fine detail and beautiful rich colors. It is in very fine+ condition without any visible flaws.
