Welcome!
And . . . . . Thank You for looking!
My sales benefit Place For Cats, Inc., a New York 501-c(3) organization that has found homes for 1000 strays since 1990. Presently, we are trying to raise enough money to save our shelter location in Queens that we have had since 1997 but are on the verge of losing. I founded the organization and have been its volunteer director for 26 years.
Most of my items are Vintage! If you buy vintage, then you know that vintage means pre-owned, pre-loved and/or used. I provide DETAILED INFORMATION to enable an informed buying decision, and encourage the buyer to ASK QUESTIONS.
I make every attempt to accurately describe and provide photos of the actual items being sold, with the true condition disclosed. Usually I have many more photos than the 4 we are allowed to upload to the Bonanzle Booth, so just email and ask for more and I will do my best to get them to you right away.
It takes hours to photograph, research values, take measurements, compose descriptions, fill out selling templates, package and mail items. We are not a store; my time is volunteered to help the strays. I try to list everything including flaws but if there is something that is important to you that I have missed, please speak up and email your question PRIOR to paying!
Below is my CONDITION GUIDE FOR VINTAGE:
MINT means mint. It means rare, flawless and as perfect and pristine as it was originally, to the point that it may never have been even worn. Garment tags may still be attached.
NEAR MINT shows the lightest of wear and a garment or dress that is in complete condition in all aspects.
EXCELLENT means totally sound in condition and appearance, but any wear is a result of having been worn now and then, but the item has been well looked after and stored to still keep good looks. The construction of the garment is sound with no buttons missing or unavailable for matching.
VERY GOOD means wearable with some flaws. Flaws such as stains or minor structural flaws have made an appearance. However, overall the garment has sought-after factors such as scarcity or a rare print making it desirable.
GOOD means wearable, but the item or dress is no longer in pristine condition and if there are repairs to be made it could never achieve excellent condition. Remember vintage garments have been around a long time, so will have deteriorated with the years and with storage conditions. These clothes have been worn, but the fact they still exist means they were favorite items or stylish treasured garments in their day.
Thank you again for taking the time to browse Vintage & More - and I look forward to hearing from you!
