Raised a hoosier, transplanted to Colorado, I'm a third generation china painter. I was trained in porcelain decoration by my mother and grandmother. My formal education focused on kiln fired art as I pursued an engineering degree. Artistically, I've always leaned toward the decoration of functional art.
The porcelain paintings produced by my imagination begin their retail life here on Bonanza. I'm in the studio daily, but Winter is when I'm most productive, and its a long but beautiful one, in the Rocky Mountain High Country. The items which don't sell on Bonanza find their way into local gift shops and galleries in the late Spring and Summer. Summer time is usually commission season for me and I'm working on specific projects for individuals. I work very closely with my patrons to guarantee their satisfaction. I hope you'll consider contacting me when my Bonanza shop becomes a bit sparse during the summer months.
Mid-Fall is when our tourist season ends and the summer folks are winterizing their vacation homes and returning to what they believe is more pleasant weather. We've got them fooled! Winter is spectacular in my neck of the Rockies and during the frequent blizzards I'm back in the studio letting my imagination go wild again. Which means more stock for my Bonanza shop just in time for the Christmas Holidays!
I take great satisfaction in knowing that I'm creating the family heirlooms of tomorrow...TODAY!
