Vintage October Birthday Birthstone Charm Sterling Silver Jezlaine Jez Center Heart Design Swirls Open Work Tourmaline Gemstone You Are Thoughtful Shower Gift Boy or Girl Designer Signed .925 Three Dimensional 3D Made in the United States U.S.A. Necklace Pendant This is a lovely sterling silver birthstone hinged book style charm made by Jezlaine. It has a tourmaline gemstone centered in the middle of a heart with open work swirls decorating the outside area, and the month “OCTOBER” at the bottom. The charm has a hinge and opens and inside is the saying “You Are Thoughtful”. It is signed on the back with the script Jez and the copyright stamp and marked with .925 for sterling silver. The back has an opening that shows the stone and allows the light to shine through. It is highly detailed and three dimensional. It measures approximately 5/8 of an inch wide and tall. October actually has two different birthstones, the Opal and the Tourmaline. Jez is the maker’s stamp for the jewelry company formerly known as Jezlaine/Roman. The company is now trademarked under Roman Sunstone of Rhode Island who have been designing and sourcing jewelry for over 40 years. This hard to find charm is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. I have not polished it as many people prefer the patina that only comes with age.
