Sue Kouma Johnson painted the original of this print from an old photo of the saint which was taken with her sister. Of course, it was in black and white so she spiced it up with some color and roses. It turned out pretty and is great as a medal or pendant. Saint Therese of Lisieux, also known as "the Little Flower," lived and died at the end of the nineteenth century as a girl, really. She was only 24 when she died, as a Carmelite nun. During her last illness she was ordered to write her story, which she called The Story of a Soul. It spells out her simple spirituality, the way of littleness, or spiritual childhood. That is why Sue likes to portray her as a child. The same image is on both sides. Available with or without the beautiful silver plated snake chain of your choice.
