Item description

Spahi d’Oran 1939, The Cavalry History, Collectable Figurine, Horseman Figurine The Cavalry History, a reproduction of riders from different eras to trace the evolution and history, reproduced in standard 1/30th, or 54mm, a collection of Del Prado. The figurines are made in a stable alloy of lead and zinc, with a remarkable finish, both in terms of casting, as paint. Hand painted. Spahis were light-cavalry regiments of the French army recruited primarily from the indigenous populations of Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco. The modern French Army retains one regiment of Spahis as an armoured unit, with personnel now recruited in mainland France. Senegal also maintains a mounted unit with spahi origins as a presidential escort: the Red Guard. Weight 276gr
