Item description

Brand new factory sealed vhs tape. This unique edition comes with a reproduction of a lobby card which is the same size as a postcard. Widescreen version is best watched in the non-stretchy zoom mode on newer televisions. Digitaly remastered looks nearly dvd quality on newer 16 X 9 sets. Bizarre, fascinating mystery in the Hammett-Chandler tradition (and set in the 1930s) with Jack Nicholson as L.A. private eye led into a complex, volatile case by femme fatale Faye Dunaway. Director Roman Polanski appears briefly as the hood who knifes Nicholson. Oscar for Best Original Screenplay by Robert Towne. Followed by a sequel the 'Two Jakes'.
