Offered for sale is a pair of lamps suitable for your child's nursery. The motif is a blonde child occupying a cradle with an angel leaning over it stroking the child's head. There is a blue blanket over the child. The angel is wearing a green robe and has purple wings. On the bottom "Germany" is etched into the mold, as well as 5855. I can find no significance to the numbers. After running my fingers along every piece of both lamps I cannot find any chips or cracks. There is a lot of gold paint along ridges and edges. One of the lamps has been stripped of its wiring ready to be rewired while the other still has the wiring attached. It needs to be rewired. The wiring is cut and dangerous. I have not cut it off because I think the buyer may want to see the color and type of cord and plug that was original to the piece. The actual piece without the electrical parts is about seven inches tall. The base is about 5 inches across. This is a project that is worthy of completion but I will never get to it.
