Item description

This was a fun one to uncover. At first glance one would assume since it was engraved 1837 on the handle, they would al see one the date it was made. Actually based on the hallmarks it was made two years earlier in 1835. With help from some uber talented silver sleuths, they were able to uncover the maker Francis Clark who worked in Birmingham England as a silversmith in the 1820s and 1830s. Everything lined up. The personalization on the silver weighted handle appears to read ?Mrs. _LP 1837?. Unsure of the first letter and honestly not positive of the last two. Knife is 7 inches in length. The blade is sterling. Most are not unless the entire knife is so this is an oddity. Please note the sterling handle does have a few dings in it. 190 years will do that! Will ship USPS with tracking to winning buyer
