The game is a fun expansion of ideas from the first where you have four characters to play as instead of just the one, and it's a deeper story which can be great.
However, the attractions aren't as fun nor innovative as the first, nor are they as numerous. It also has the problem that even though there are more things to do after the initial end credits, the game can still be "completed" so that there's nothing left to do and it can be frustrating not knowing if you can do something before or after the main quest is ended.
Overall, I'd put this in the range of kids who know how to read (there's a lot of that) and are interested in playing a small open world.
