I had a catastrophic hard drive failure so I was unable to recover the OEM license. I was out of warranty and Dell wanted me to pay just to talk to them, this was cheaper. I bought a license from KurzelTech I then had 5 days of hardware delays. When I tried to activate 5 days later the key did not activate. I sent KurzelTech an email and they sent me another license that worked. Would have used Win10 but 7 was required for bespoke software.

I don't understand why it is that certain software companies think that they need to reinvent their own wheel over and over. Windows 7 has become the most stable OS with the release of SP1 then Microsoft had to try and out do itself. sorry but the whole idea of using tiles instead of menus has made windows 8/10 completely un-intuitive. Instead of being treated like an infant who has to point and touch everything. I prefer the speed of access that comes from using the keyboard and Win7 menus.

I have installed this operating system on numerous computers, and I can safely say that Windows 7 Professional edition is the best version of Windows 7 that anyone can install on their machine, and now with a price that's hard to beat! Overall, a great product, I'll definitely be using it on the next machine I build up.
