Irobot Roomba Vacuum 880
Customer Reviews Synopsis
The Roomba 880 is NOT a vacuum cleaning robot. There is no vacuum function, it whisks surface dirt and debris like a very light broom would do. While the device does work as advertised, for the money it is not a good value. I would have wanted to know that it's cleaning power is very limited.
We had high expectations given the price and the 880 exceeded them.
We have two dogs and two cats. My wife was vacuuming
Daily to keep up with the hair but no longer is this the case.
We use the daily schedule and empty the unit daily.
We are amazed how well this unit works. Getting under furniture
And even cleaning the hair that clings onto the bottoms
Of the chair feet where hair tends to cling to the felt protectors.
We have hardwood floors with area rugs and the 880 negotiates all of the areas
With amazing results.
Thank you roomba.
Love the Roomba. Thank you!
The use of 880 when the room very clean?
I love this vacuum because I can be writing this review while he is cleaning my living room floor. It really is much easier for me to keep my house clean since I divide and conquer. I remove electrical cords and small items from one room each day and turn 'him' loose. By the end of the week, my floors are done! In short, two words for this product...LOVE IT!
Performs adequately, but I didn't anticipate the annoyance factor of this device. Turned out to be something I wasn't willing to put up with and I returned it.
The seller and this web site is a scam.
We never got our product that we paid for.
We went through a dispute process and finally got our money back.
The roomba does a great job. I'm very please with it. It's amazing how much pet hair it picks up. Simple to set up and use.
We purchased two iRobots. Gave one as a gift. We love them so much we purchased two more for gifts. Now all the ladies in our family are happy. Can't ask for more and we all have clean floors without all the work!!
From start to finish I had nothing but a pleasant experience.
I owned a Roomba in about 2007-2009, an early model with brushes. It died and was revived by dis-assembly and sensor-cleaning several times, but in late 2009 it died the final death.
Enter Roomba 880. I bought it because we were losing the battle against dog hair. I ran it for hours daily the first weekend, basically filling it and dumping it until the battery ran down (several hours) then recharging and rerunning. I would estimate that it took a solid 12 hours of vacuuming the upper level (hardwood & carpet) before it was not filling up within 30 minutes. I was gobsmacked at how much dirt AND hair it was finding and for how long.
Now it's scheduled to run every other morning. Never gets stuck, and it has never stopped for being full since I did a carefully managed first week of cleaning.
I also check the rollers, because long hair can get wound around them. Much less often than with old Roomba, but I want this thing to run forever.
Highly, highly, highly recommended. Especially if you have a shedding dog.
