Free People Tank Top

In the 1970s, Dick Hayne opened the first Free People, a store focused on the youth. When he opened his second store, Dick changed the name to Urban Outfitters. After receiving overwhelming demand for Urban Outfitter’s wholesale line, Dick and his wife, Meg, decided to separate the business into Bulldog, Ecote, Cooperative, Anthropologie, and in 1984, Free People came to life again. This time, its focus was the twenty-something woman. Based on the success of Free People, twenty-something women seem to have responded positively to the brand’s edgy, contemporary look with a bohemian vibe.
