Vintage original 27x41 in. US one-sheet poster from the 1950's adventure fantasy, PREHISTORIC WOMEN, released in 1950 by Alliance Productions Inc. and directed by Gregg Tallas. A civilization of gorgeous cavewomen abduct men for mating purposes. One of their victims is Engor (Allan Nixon), who seems to be smarter than the rest of the men. He discovers fire, battles a monstrous giant, and attempts to win the hand of the prehistoric queen (Laurette Luez). The cast includes Mara Lynn, Joan Shawlee, Jo-Carroll Dennison, Kerry Vaughn, and Tony Devlin. The design features a color-tinted photographic scene depicting the prehistoric queen, Tigri (Laurette Luez), during a ceremony with her tribe as a man is tied to a large wooden stake. Unrestored and folded as originally issued, this vintage original one-sheet is in fair+ condition only, as the top two panels have separated as well as the bottom pinhole (see last photograph). There are small areas of paper loss, chips, tears, and creases on the edges with random separation along the center crossfold. The color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading. It can easily be linen-backed with only minor restoration.
