Vintage original 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1930's Naval Academy-themed drama, ANNAPOLIS FAREWELL, released in 1935 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Alexander Hall. The image features an exterior medium shot of handsome Naval Academy student Morton "Click" Haley (Tom Brown) as he greets Madeline Deming (Rosalind Keith) while she steps-off a passenger train. Printed on single-weight stock with a glossy finish, this vintage original photograph is very fine- condition with a very light 5 in. diagonal crease across the top left corner that goes through Brown's cap and light signs of wear on the bottom corners. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and the image quality is razor-sharp with fine detail and nice contrast. Plot: Commodore Fitzhugh (Guy Standing), an old retired naval officer, lives at the Annapolis Naval Academy and, unhappy with the "modern" navy, likes to talk about his days in the "old" navy, especially about his part in the Battle of Manila Bay under Adm. Dewey during the Spanish-American War, when he commanded the USS Congress. That ship, now decommissioned and docked in Annapolis harbor, is--unknown to Fitzhugh--about to be towed out to sea to be used for target practice. When Fitzhugh finds this out, he sets out to either save his beloved vessel or "go down with his ship".
