Item description
Antique Cabinet Photograph of Harold Merrow. The subject is identified on the reverse side. Photo by Cummings Son of Auburn, Maine. According to Faqs.org, Harold Merrow was born May 8, 1903 and died July 1, 1966. His last place of residence was in Fairfield, Maine. This photo measures 4.25" x 6.5" including mount. Condition: This is an original photograph, not a reproduction. It is in excellent condition.
Additional Information about the Merrow Family: This photograph comes from a family album that belonged to the Omar Bond Merrow estate. Omar was born April 2, 1880 and attended school at Littlefield Corner in Auburn, Maine. He died in December, 1963. His family genealogy is recorded in the book, "Richard Pinkham of Old Dover, New Hampshire and His Descendants East and West," by Charles Nelson Sinnett. Omar was married to Harriet "Hattie" Lufkin Haskell on March 8 or 9, 1909. The couple lived near Auburn, Maine. Merrow was a successful businessman in Auburn who had a large scale cattle business. The family is still memorialized by the street name "Merrow Road" in Auburn. This photo will be accompanied by a photocopy of an article in the Lewiston, Maine newspaper regarding his will and estate. The precise relationship between Harold Merrow (the subject of this photo) and Omar Merrow has not been established.
