This is another great entry in Mooer's micro pedal series. So far I own this one (the MKII Modfactory), as well as the Modverb and the Reecho. The first thing you'll notice picking these up is that they have an extremely solid feel + build quality, while also being intriguingly small in size. Aside from portability and pedal board real estate, the small size is also often perfect for the nature of the effect(s). To explain, many of them have effects that really stand out when you adjust them during playing, so I like to keep them on a desk / within hand's reach. For instance, the 'Liquid' effect on this pedal is really fun to hit a chord, then adjust the 3 parameter knobs in time to the beat.
The stand-out effects on this pedal (for me) are Liquid, Stutter, and Auto-wah. I use these pedals on my synths as well as guitars and they are a blast to record / perform with. (I'm very pleased with the other effects, too).
You'll want to pick up a power supply for these. If Mooer's is too pricey, I recommend the Snark power supply, with the daisy chain add-on (accommodates 5 pedals and is very cheap).
