The twenty-fifth mystery featuring Chief Superintendent Roderick Alleyn involves a river cruise and an art forgery.
Very nearly fine in red linen boards with gilt embossed titles and gun-pointing Crime Club insignia to the spine, crime map illustrated end-papers; in a near fine dust jacket with some fading to the red on the upper front corner, and a half-inch crimped tear to the upper spine end; original printed 21s net price still intact to the front inner flap.
