Goodwin~Gonzalez 1995 VAMPIRELLA CLASSIC #4 and 50 similar items

Stated first printing (thus): collects two 1970's era stories into a single volume. Front wrapper creased. Light edge wear. Ships bagged and boarded. This August 1995 Harris collection contains and colorizes "The Resurrection of Papa Voudou!" by Archie Goodwin and Jose Gonzalez (colors by Bear Byte Graphics) from Warren Vampirella #15 January 1972 and "Who Serves the Cause of Chaos?" Part III (conclusion) by Archie Goodwin and Tom Sutton from Warren Vampirella #8 November 1970 (colors by Bear Byte). The latter story was the first serious Vampi story, moving away from the camp of issues 1 and 2. The former continues Vampi's emerging relationship with Adam Van Helsing as they (and Adam's father Conrad and a friend named Paul Giraud) get involved with the voodoo revival of a dead dictator (similar to Papa Doc Duvalier of Haiti). Count Dracula made his first appearance in the Warren Vampirella series on the last page of this story. The cover reproduces Vampirella #53 August 1976 by Enrich and inside is another superb centerfold of Vampi by Gonzalez, colorized by Bear Byte. A minimum of ads, mostly for other Harris Vampirella products, including "Vampirella Strikes" #1 which was Harris' first photo cover and a great one at that.
