These irons also feature a wider sole for increased playability. Daiwa GC are a Japanese company who have made golf clubs from the mid '80s onwards, after branching out from their more familiar role in the manufacture of angling equipment. They made solid clubs and were one of the early pioneers of offering premium graphite shafts as a custom option in iron sets. Some of their sets were pitched at a relatively high price point and competed against the likes of the more exotic Mizuno and Yonex offerings of the time in the ultra-premium market. They achieved a decent presence on Tour and their blades were quite highly sought after at one time with Ian Baker-Finch using a set to win an Open Chapionship and a young Tiger Woods using a set of their blades at one time. They disappeared as a brand a few years ago and are now marketed under the OnOff name with the bulk of their equipment being sold to the Asian market. Review: "These clubs are great.
