Item description
This is a vintage Homer Laughlin sugar bowl from the Cavalier Eggshell line in the Lily of the Valley, gold trim patten. The antique bowl features a gray rim with lily of the valley in the center highlighted with gold trim. The bottom is marked "Cavalier Eggshell - Homer Laughlin USA " above a code that is difficult to read. It is "L - number - N - 5", the number is very fuzzy and could be either a '55 or '66. Apparently that number translates to the date of manufacture, so this was likely made in either 1955 or 1966. The vintage sugar bowl is in good shape, free from breaks cracks. The issue is that there is no top. Either there was no top originally or this one has been lost. The vintage dinnerware belonged to my Grandmother and a mid century date fits. It measures about 3.75" tall x 4.75" wide. It is sold as is.
