Item description
Vintage original 11 x 14 in. US double-weight matte photograph from the 1980s made-for-television remake of THE BAD SEED, broadcast on February 7, 1985 on ABC. Based upon the play by Maxwell Anderson, fatal freak accidents force a widow (Blair Brown) to realize her 9-year-old daughter (Carrie Wells) was born to kill.
The image depicts cast members Carrie Wells (as Rachel Penmark) and David Carradine (as apartment caretaker Leroy Jessup). Affixed to the verso is the original paper snipe that separated along the perforations and was affixed to the verso with clear Scotch tape. It comes from a newspaper archive and has an "X" in grease pencil on the recto. It is in very fine- condition as shown with only some light waviness along the side edges.
Provenance: The Hearst Los Angeles Herald Examiner newspaper archive.
