Item description
Vintage original 7 x 9 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1980s television comedy-spoof mini-series, FRESNO, broadcast on November 16, 1986 on CBS. In Fresno, California, the once-wealthy Kensington family's raisin-growing empire has fallen on hard times. They are led by widowed matriarch Charlotte, who is locked in a deadly power struggle with rival raisin magnate Tyler Cane.
The image depicts wealthy a close shot of the widowed raisin queen, Charlotte Kensington (Carol Burnett). It was used for publication in a newspaper and has a portion of the actual newspaper clipping dated-stamped OCT 29 1986 A. Affixed to the bottom of the verso (along with one staple) is the original paper snipe, which describes the image. It is in fine+ condition as shown.
Provenance: The Hearst Herald Examiner newspaper archive.
