Short crimped creases at the edge of the rear spine, minor edge wear to the heel of the spine, carelessly opened sheets resulting in a large piece missing from the lower margin of page 167/168, else a very good plus, sharp copy in red cloth with bright gilt lettering and decoration; in a high quality FACSIMILE dust jacket.
This novel studies the effect of the Great War on the church and a Bishop who is overwhelmed by the difficult questions the times present.
Octavo.
341 pages.
Colored frontispiece plate by C. Allan Gilbert.
