Faint creases and modest wear to the covers, short inscription on the front cover, else a very good copy in pale green Jonathan Cape designed wraps.
A couple's bizarre romantic relationship is disrupted by the intrusion of a third person.
Filmed in 1968 with Glenda Jackson, Diane Cilento and Peter McEnery.
Peter Everett wrote novel and the screenplay.
Very scarce in this pre-publication issue.
