Vintage Fisher Price Little People #928 Fire Station Complete/NR MINT-MINT! "Quick, call 911!" Here is an FANTASTIC Fisher Price Little People Play Family Fire Station (1980-82) that is 100% COMPLETE! This set is VHTF, let alone in NEAR MINT- MINT condition! This set comes with 17 of its original fun-filled pieces. This offering also includes this set's ORIGINAL box. This play set affords TONS of open-ended play possibilities! When you turn the crank on the side of the fire station, the garage door goes up and down and the bell rings. The interior of the fire station features two levels. The upper level serves as a staging area for the dispatchers while the lower level houses the rescue vehicles. The EXTERIOR litho is in NEAR MINT-MINT condition. It is free of any edge wear, marks, stains, creases etc. On close inspection, I can only spy only a handful of miniscule bubbles and one, faint scratch that has not permenated the litho or removed any of its color. I only detected the latter by holding the piece up within 3" of my eyes and rotating the piece in the light. The main FP logo is smoothly and firmly attached to the Fire Station. Other than a teensy bubble on the far right hand edge of the dispatcher litho, this litho is in NEAR MINT- MINT condition. After rotating this base over and over in the light and close to my eyes, I discerned pin-head size rub on the cat litho. These are virtually impossible to see. It's unbelievable that these lithos are 30 years old!!! There are NO discolorations, creases, stains, marks, or edge wear on ANY of the INTERIOR lithos. The captivating graphics are richly colored and full-bodied in their appearance. Similarly, there are NO chips, abrasions, discolorations, cracks etc. on any of the plastic surfaces (roof, garage door, sides of building, base etc.). The only "imperfections" I can spy are a few light scratches and an occasional "ding " on the roof. The aforementioned "dings" have not displaced any of the roof's coloring and are EXTREMELY difficult to spot. In my opinion, these plastic surfaces warrant a NEAR MINT-MINT rating. The bell and garage door work as designed. The bell exhibits some minor pitting and minor corrosion. This truly is an AWESOME set!!! Besides the fire station itself, the set includes: 1 RARE fire practice tower (EXC++-NEAR MINT-- a few "dings" on the outermost corners of the fire tower along with some soiling; the latter should be erradicated with a thorough Q-tip cleaning); 2 EXTREMELY RARE fire hoses (1 MINTY MINT--ABSOLUTELY NO CHEWS; the other has a few tiny "nibbles" on either end; these are not prominent in nature (EXC-EXC++); 2 VHTF barricades (EXC++--shallow nibbles on a couple of legs); 2 VHTF yellow ladders (1 MINTY MINT; other NEAR MINT--one indentation on lower margin of one rung); 1 VHTF Dalmatian Dog (NEAR MINT--tiny rub on one black spot; NO CHEWS ON EARS); 1 HTF plastic fireman w/white hat and arms (NEAR MINT---slight roughness around middle rim); 2 VHTF plastic firemen w/red hats and arms (MINTY MINT); 1 HTF red and white ambulance (NEAR MINT-MINT); 1 RARE fire chief car w/gold colored emblem on front hood (MINT); 1 VHTF pumper fire truck with the extendable ladder and basket on the end (NEAR MINT--MINT--Note: This is the fire truck that originally came with this set; it does NOT have the design on the side); and last, but not least, 2 RARE yellow stabilizers (MINTY MINT). The Fire Station BOX displays considerable wear. It is missing all of its flaps at one end and exhibits several tears, creases, missing graphics, extraneous tape, one puncture on the bottom of the box, split seams, ink scribbles on the bottom of the box etc.. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest, I would consider this box to be a 3.5/10. It does provide a reference regarding the play set's contents. I've tried to be as thorough and honest about this set as I can. I'd rather be "nit-picky" than have someone disappointed in what they were purchasing. All in all, this is a SPECTACULAR playset and one suitable for an avid Fisher Price Collector or some lucky child. I WILL BE THOROUGHLY Q-TIP CLEANING THIS PLAY SET AND ALL OF ITS ACCESSORIES PRIOR TO SENDING IT TO ITS NEW OWNER.
