The product was what I wanted,in good condition, and even more attractive than what was shown in the photo.
It is hard to believe he is from 1984! I had one of these as a child (small differences) and was super excited to find him again. His fur was a little scratchier than I remember and smelled odd (moth balls maybe) but he is in such good shape. I have aired him out a bit and he no longer has the odd smell. I imagine a few good snuggles will soften up his fur.
