RMS Olympic White Star Line Ratings Cap Tally - New Aged
After lengthy research we have now produced what we consider to be the most accurate 'RMS Olympic' Ratings Cap Tally as worn on the Olympic.

Repairing or replicating a period cap
'Titanic', 'RMS Titanic', 'Olympic' or 'RMS Olympic' or any other similar designs were not worn by Ratings on the Ships. They wore 'White Star Line' cap tallies. However we have come across evidence that 'RMS Olympic' tallies were worn most likely during WW1 after being commandeered by the Admiralty.
In May 1918, while bringing U.S. troops to Europe, Olympic spotted the German submarine U-103. Instead of fleeing, her captain ordered the massive liner to turn and ram the submarine, slicing it in half.
This is a reproduction cap tally as worn by the Ratings. Made from woven gold cotton and mixed silk/rayon and with the same details as the originals.
