Vintage Soviet Chernobul Liquidator R-2 Mask Chernobyl Respirator, NOS.
The R-2 respirator (category 2) is designed to protect the human respiratory system from RADIOACTIVE dust. The respirator's index is EO-22. The respirator can be used in temperatures ranging from +40C to -40C. New, stored. Made in the USSR. Category 2 was assigned to this product because the top layer (foam rubber) was damaged (torn) due to shelf life. This can be removed, as the mask consists of 4 layers, and used for household purposes without the top layer. Respirators are not exchangeable or returnable.
The R-2 respirator DOES NOT PROTECT against gases!
The color of the top layer of the half mask may vary.
