Item description
One-of-a-kind handmade primitive folk art wall hanging was crafted in 1993 and is signed on the muslin backing with the artist’s initials and date: “mt 93.” At over 30 years old, this is a genuine piece of vintage American folk art created at the peak of the primitive country cottage movement.
A hand-lettered muslin verse panel reads:
“Light fades / Stars appear / Evening angels / gather here”
Two plastic hanging rings are sewn into the top corners of the muslin backing for easy display.
Approximate size: ~16.5” x 12.5” (please see photos)
Condition:
Front is clean and display-ready with wonderful aged character. The unbleached muslin backing shows age-appropriate yellowing and toning consistent with 30+ years of storage. A few small marks on the backing as shown in photos.
