c. 1873-1918 This delicate yet ELEGANT antique FISCHER MIEG Bud Vase features a stunning blue and gold Dutch landscape design, hand-painted with fine detailing on porcelain. There are a Dutch Woman, Tulips, Windmills and Water in the Design. With a matte finish and intricate gold detailing, this small vase exudes warmth and charm, is a collectible treasure, adding a touch of vintage sophistication to any decor. The Crossed Hammers mark is that of Fischer Mieg of Pirkenhammer Brezova, Bohemia (previously Austria, later Czechoslovakia). The base is marked with the Pirkenhammer Trademark Hallmark Design of unadorned crown, crossed hammers, and ribbon in the underglaze green used by the Fischer Mieg Company, between 1873-1918. In 1852, Christian Fischer purchased the company from one of the founders Christopher Reichenbach and brought in his daughter?s husband, Ludwig Von Mieg as his partner and renaming the company Fischer Mieg. Andre? Carriere was the sole designer and painter during this period. His work, together with the porcelain design were considered equal or superior to the contemporary Sevres and Limoges pieces.
