Item description
TANGIER BUZZLESS FLIES
by John Hopkins.
New York: Atheneum, 1972.
First edition, first printing.
"First edition" statement to the copyright page, 1972 printed to the title page, $7.95 to the jacket's flap.
Hopkins draws on his experiences living with a literati circle of friends including William Burroughs, in Tangier, Morocco for this second critically acclaimed novel that deals with loss, relationships, Tangier culture of the 1960s, narcotic sensuality, eccentric characters, some gay themes, and more.
A beautifully preserved vintage hardcover in the bright original dust jacket.
Fine, crisp, very tight and fine in fresh teal linen with gilt embossed titles to spine, red-amber end-papers; in a very nearly fine dust jacket with 1960s influenced art by Guy Fleming, a short mild crease to the upper corner of the front flap fold edge, and a hint of fading to the lower rear spine fold.
Octavo; 371 pages; plus brief author bio. page to the rear.
Please note* the dust jacket will be placed in a clear, removable, protective sleeve after scanning for this entry.
