Original Drive-Thru Tree, Historic Shrine Tree. Located at Shrine Drive-Thru Tree Park in Myers Flat, on the scenic Avenue of the Giants. The Shrine Drive-Thru Tree is known worldwide as the Shrine of the Redwoods because it was the first major attraction along the Redwood Highway. Full-sized autos and pickups easily negotiate the natural opening which was hollowed out centuries ago by fires. Along with this historical landmark Shrine Park contains the Drive-on Log, Balance Tree, Age Comparison, Walk-Through Tree, etc.
