UP FOR SALE: The Second Adventures of Uncle Wiggily: the bunny rabbit gentleman and his muskrat lady housekeeper
by Garis, Howard R
A Nice inscription as seen in photos
A delightful antique children's book entitled, 'Second Adventures Of Uncle Wiggily: The Bunny Rabbit Gentleman And His Muskrat Lady Housekeeper', by Howard R. Garis, and published in 1925 by Charles E. Graham Company in Newark, New Jersey. The whimsical and animated colored illustrations were drawn by Lang Campbell, who illustrated many of Geris's books.
Howard R. Garis (1873-1962) was a prolific American author, who was best known for character, an elderly rabbit named Uncle Wiggily Longears, the subject of a series of children's books, and author of more than 11,000 stories. The Uncle Wiggily, a popular character, inspired Milton Bradley to produce an Uncle Wiggily board game beginning in 1916, and on and off through1988.
The hardcover book is covered in red cloth with a paste-on pictorial illustration. The overall condition is good with slight wear to the cover and dust jacket, and measures; 9 1/4" x 11 1/4".
Estate Find--This item may have toning, chipping, foxing, separation from the spin in sections as well as rust at staples. The color you see could be slightly different than the original due to variations of light and camera, i do my best. It is an antiquarian book
