Vintage Hand Carved Polished Rough Edges Veined Marble Stone Ashtray MCM. The approximate measurements are 10 1/2" x 7 1/4" x 1 3/4" Thick. It weighs approximately 9 1/2 lbs. not including packing materials. It is an off-white with tan and brown veins running throughout. Its oblong shape is a natural carved shape. There are 2 slots on opposite sides for cigarettes, cigars, or even incense. The bottom is completely smooth in an off-white color with veins running throughout. There are also a few scratches on the bottom from age, use and love. This is one of the coolest Mid-Century Modern items I have ever seen. It could be used as an ashtray, incense burner, Candy/ Nut bowl, catch all/ Trinket Dish (for your keys, remotes, etc.), Candleholder, Paperweight, Vintage Barware Decor, Tobacciana Collectible Decor or anything you can think of. Condition is preowned with no chips or cracks. The veining might look like cracks but they are not. Scratches on bottom and inside the bowl.
