Exquisite 1930-40s Vintage Brown Wool Tilt Derby Perfect Full Below Face Veil Silk and Velvet Beige Flowers Exceptional hat from the Depression and WWII era. Features a shoulder length veil which encompasses the entire face around to back bow. Unbelievably, the fine netted veil has no tears that I could find. The silk and velvet, dainty beaded various flowers are in good condition with only one having a small age spot, the far left rose. The chin strap is sturdy and elastic. Brown grosgrain ribbon bands the crown with a back bow and long tails. It has a slight age patina. The end of tails are frayed a little at ends. Great collectible, wearable hat in perfect condition. Measures app. 20.5" inside grosgrain crown banding. 6.5" front to back and 6" across. As it is a tilt, one size fits most all.
