Item description
Antique Cabinet Card Photograph. Depicting Mary Josephine Cushman Burns and her son Robert "Bob" Cushman Burns. Photographer not stated. Reverse side is blank. Note: Although this photo does not specifically identify Mary and her son, we are able to make a positive identification based on other photos from the Burns family collection (sold separately.) Measures approximately 5.25 x 7.5 including mount. Condition: This is an original photograph, not a copy or reproduction. It has some foxing (age spotting). Family Genealogy: Oscar G. Burns and his wife Mary Josephine (Cushman) Burns resided in Rockland, Maine. Mary was born about 1872 and died in 1940. They had two children, including Robert "Bob" Cushman Burns who was born August 21, 1905, and Marion Burns who was five years older than her brother, and born circa 1900. Marion was later known to reside in Torrance, California and possibly remained unmarried. Robert was the owner and operator of Burns Concrete Burial Vaults and Cement Products. He died on December 11, 1972 in the same town in which he was born, and is buried on Achorn Cemetery in Rockland. Like his sister, there is no record we were able to find of a spouse or children.
