THE NEST OF THE SPARROWHAWK:
A Romance of the 17th Century.
by Baroness Orczy
London: Greening Co. Inc., 1909.
First edition, THIRD printing.
1909 date printed to the title page.
Orczy employs a Pimpernel-style plot with themes of spies and noble persons in disguise for the greater political good, for this historical adventure novel of intrigue.
Inner hinges cracked--still holding, slight foxing to the page edges and preliminary pages, end-papers age-toned as usual, rub-wear to the cover corner tips and spine folds, very short tears to the upper and lower spine edges, some age-toning to the spine, slight soil spots to the covers, former owner's typed name to a label to the upper half-title page, else good in blue linen with black and cream illustration of a flying sparrowhawk and gilt embossed titles to the front cover and with gilt embossed titles to the spine.
Octavo; 320 pages.
