Item description
Brand new factory sealed vhs tape is perfect for old school tube TVs as the image will fill your square frame. Pop-n-go retro video has no fussy menus to contend with either. The uncompressed audio is also superior to it's digital counterpart.
Hotshot Chicago attorney (Gere) defends an altar boy accused of brutally murdering a much-loved archbishop--even though all evidence seems to point to the young man's guilt. This leads to some courtroom fireworks due, in part, to the fact that the prosecutor (Laura Linney) is his former lover. Gere gives a solid performance in one of his very best roles, as a cocky lawyer who--for once--doesn't have all the answers. Newcomer Edward Norton is also very impressive.
Laura Linney and Richard Gere would work together again later on in the 'Mothman Prophecies'.
