Resista Forte WHAT IS RESISTA FORTE AND WHO IS IT INTENDED FOR? RESISTA FORTE is a supplement intended for the immune system. It contains 9 scientifically selected ingredients of natural origin which support and contribute to the normal function of the immune system. EpiCor is a sophisticated complex of biological active substances obtained in the fermentation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast with a patented technology. It contains mostly beta-glucans, in addition to proteins, peptides, antioxidants, polyphenols, organic acids, nucleotides, and mannans. A number of clinical studies have proven the positive effect of EpiCor on the immune system. Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) is a medical fungus containing a complex of alpha- and beta-glucans. As alpha-glucans have a lower molecular mass than that of beta-glucans, they complement beta-glucans with new properties and additionally support the effect of RESISTA FORTE on the immune system. Having been studied for many years, colostrum has a clinically proven effect on the immune system, as a large part of its components have immunological properties: · Immunoglobulins (IgG1, IgG2, IgA, IgM) – antibodies with a broad spectrum of activity which are essential for specific immunity. · Cytokines – substances which enable communication between immune system cells. It is believed that the addition of cytokines facilitates the natural coordination between immune system cells and positively influences the strength of immune responses. · Lactoperoxidase – an enzyme which, as a component of natural immunity, has an important role in oxidation processes which enable the immune system to perform its natural function. · Lactoferrin – a transport protein which is also an essential element of the natural immune system. It binds iron ions and modifies the nutritious environment, making it favourable for beneficial bacteria in the body (lactobacilli and bifodibacteria). Some data indicate that lactoferrin also has a direct effect on immune system cells by supporting their essential functions. · Lysozyme – an enzyme found in saliva, tears, human breast milk, and mucous secretion. Lysozyme breaks down the bacterial cell wall and is an important part of natural immunity. It is secreted by certain immune system cells (macrophages and leukocytes) and is an essential compound required by the immune system in order to perform its natural protective functions. The oral probiotic Streptococcus salivarius subsp. thermophilus ST-G30 is a part of the normal human flora in the oral cavity, tonsil, and pharynx mucosa and supports the local protective function of the immune system. WHEN AND HOW SHOULD RESISTA FORTE BE TAKEN? RESISTA FORTE is a lozenge. It is recommended that no food and drinks are consumed for at least 30 minutes after taking the lozenge. RESISTA FORTE should be taken for general immune system support before the winter season or whenever the immune system needs an extra boost. Adults and children over 12 years of age should take 2 tablets of RESISTA FORTE daily for 30 days. The recommended dose for children over 5 years of age is 1 tablet of RESISTA FORTE daily for 30 days. If considering taking RESISTA FORTE for general immune system support before the winter season, it is highly recommended that you start in the beginning of September. RESISTA FORTE can also be swallowed whole. If swallowed whole, the local effect on the mucosa of the oral cavity, tonsils, and pharynx will be milder, but the general effect of the product on the immune system remains the same. WHO SHOULD NOT TAKE RESISTA FORTE? RESISTA FORTE should not be taken by transplant patients and patients taking immunosuppressive therapy, or people who have had an allergic reaction to any of the lozenge ingredients.
