Beautiful example of Vintage picture postcard of an artists rendering.
At the bottom right corner the numbers 29422.
Along the top edge the description is printed; " 348:-Canoeing on the Lake, Weequahic Park, Newark, N.J.
The picture seems almost digitized.
The address side of the postcard is postmarked HARRIS NJ Oct 17 1933 with a 1 cent Ben Franklin postage stamp. (Another notable feature is that the year in the postmark is stamped upside down from the date and time).
The hand written message states " Try to get 4 bucks from that guy if not tell him 3.50 don't include tubes because I payed 70 cents a piece fer them so let me know" signed W3DEZ "FRED" XTAL
CONDITION; Slows slight wear at edges and corners, top left corner creased but not torn, no pin holes.
This postcard is a beautiful example of vintage artwork and postcards.
It is notable that the style of clothing worn by the characters in the painting are a significant style of that era. (Notice the hat worn by the person in the middle of the canoe in the forefront and the person in the small boat slightly above).
Would be a nice addition to a historical landmark and locations collection, for an artists or historical reference, an addition to a vintage artists renderings collection or QSL Card collection, or even a postage stamp collection.
