1957 Vintage Cartoon Art Hula Girl Mahiawa Hawaii WIMPU-KH6
Oversized post card on a yellowish-tan card stock
The front of the card features the normal QSO QSL Card information, and a Cartoon art line drawing of a palm tree and Hula Girl dancing to the guitar music played by a gentleman in typical 1950's clothing with a full moon in the background
Sent by "Lou Haggan" in Honolulu, Hawaii, although the handwritten date is Feb 21, 1957, the card was not postmarked until April 2, 1957, in Mahiawa Hawaii
A nice addition for any collector of Hawaii or Hula Girl artifacts.
CONDITION: Please see photos. Shows signs of wear and improper handling, although there are no pin holes, there are creases and wrinkles at the corners, which are all intact. The sideways 2 cent Jefferson is torn off at the top edge and that corner suffered some damage and shows wear and creasing, although the corner is intact.
If looking at the back (address side) it seems that the top and right side suffered the most wear, which also shows on the front (left edge).
(We have since stored in in an archival quality postcard sleeve)
