Michael Anthonyhas worked with ceramics most of his life. Originally from West Haven, Connecticut, he designed in a home studio located in the basement of his parent’s home. From there he moved to Tampa, Florida and continued the love of clay. He achieved a certification from Duncan Ceramic Products.
A few years back, he took a couple of classes on the wheel. He enjoyed it so much, he purchased a kiln and a wheel. The more and more he practiced, the better and better he became. He took a workshop with Bill Turner of Raku-Art. From the moment Michael lifted out his pottery from the burning kiln, he knew what direction he wanted to pursue. Michael also works the “functional” side of pottery. From bowls, to sushi sets, to baking dishes. All of the functional pottery can be placed in the Oven, Microwave, and in the Dishwasher.
