This listing is for 5 Native Cherokee/Choctaw Plum Prunus angustifolia seeds.
Known commonly as Chickasaw or Cherokee plum, Florida sand plum, sandhill plum, or sand plum, this plum bearing tree is native to North America. It was originally cultivated by Native Americans before the arrival of Europeans. While Prunus is the classical name for European plums, angustifolia refers to its narrow leaves.
Can't say enough good about these plums. They flower in early spring filling your property with air that smells like candy. When ripe, they look like those Cherry Sour Candies. The bush really puts on a Lot of Fruit. They are extremely sweet fleshed and make The Best Jam and Wine In The World!
My kids love these and we hope you will too.
Sand Plum is listed by the USDA as an endangered species, so lets try to spread this one around before it is lost forever.
Thank You for looking!
