NIPPON.  This beautiful bowl is back stamped ... Made in Japan.  It also has the symbols or marks of being a Bibi piece.  Bibi was a family import firm that imported porcelain from japan to Lebanon during the 1950's and 1960's.  But this mark goes back to the 1930's and 1940's before they were forced to flee Palestine in 1947.
The bowl is oval in shape and has the end cut-out handles.  Heavily gold gilding all along the floral design on the inside of the bowl.  Some of the gold has worn off or is missing as you can see in the photos.  There are white lotus flowers which are outlined with the gold gild and the two end flowers have a yellow tint to them.
Other than the gold gilding missing on some parts of the bowl there is nothing else wrong with it.  No chips, cracks, no crazing.  This porcelain bowl is white but light can shine through it.  Like fine China.  i believe this bowl is used as a salt dips.
This bowl measures 7 1/4 inches long x 5 inches wide x almost 1 1/2 inches tall.
