Vintage original 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the classic 1930's comedy/drama, A SUCCESSFUL CALAMITY, released in 1932 by Warner Bros. and directed by John G. Adolfi. Based upon the play by Clare Kummer, a wealthy industrialist (George Arliss) tests the loyalty of his spoiled children (Evelyn Knapp, William Janney) and selfish wife (Mary Astor) by pretending to be broke. The cast includes Grant Mitchell, Hardie Albright, David Torrence, Randolph Scott, Hale Hamilton, and Fortunio Bonanova.

The image features an interior shot inside the now-simple home of millionaire Henry Wilton (George Arliss) as he smokes a pipe while listening to the grand idea of pianist Pietro Rafaelo (Fortunio Bonanova). It is in fine+ condition with a 1 in. diagonal crease and signs of wear on the top left corner in the borders only and some small creases from handling over time which are unobtrusive. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and the image quality is razor-sharp with very fine detail and great contrast.
