Vintage original 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the early sound film blackmail and murder-themed drama, HER PRIVATE AFFAIR, released in 1929 by Pathé Exchange and directed by Paul L. Stein. Based upon the play by Leo Urvantzov, this was a silent film with sound effects and talking sequences and was only Ann Harding's second film appearance. The image features an interior long shot during an event as Vera Kessler (Ann Harding) speaks with Arnold Hartmann (Lawford Davidson) as her handsome husband, Judge Richard Kessler (Harry Bannister), stands by her side. It is in very fine- condition with two small creases in the upper image area and a few light signs of wear that are unobtrusive. The image quality is razor-sharp with very fine detail and beautiful contrast.

Her Private Affair was Ann Harding's second film. In the movie, she is married to her real-life husband, actor Harry Bannister. They were married in 1926 and later divorced in 1932. Bannister was 13 years older than Harding. Harding and Bannister also starred together in The Girl of the Golden West (1930). Before their movie careers, they were prominent actors in Pittsburgh theatre, appearing in productions with the Sharp Company and the Nixon Players. Harding also performed on Broadway, making her Broadway debut in Like A King when she was only 19 years old.
