Dustin Hoffman is an army medical researcher who literally has to save the world (or at least one small California town) from a deadly virus, usually while wearing a yellow bio-hazard suit. He's reunited with his estranged wife, Rene Russo.

Good acting, suspense, action, and some gore FX makes it all very believable and scary especially considering the covid-19 state of affairs. It even has a movie theatre scene that should remind you of the 'Tingler' or the 'Blob'. Donald Sutherland is the military bad guy who plans to nuke the town to cover his ass.

Also with Cuba Gooding Jr. (who teams up with Hoffman for surprising James Bond-style action scenes), Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Spacey.

Major scenes were filmed in Hawaii (subbing for Africa) and Ferndale, California.
